This website is for fourth/fifth graders to see how well they do in their compound sentences. This would be for the subject in reading. I believe this would be very helpful for the students to do interactive work in seeing how well they know their compound words. Also, they can do the same set until they get it right. When they feel comfortable they can switch up and get different cards. At the end it will tell you how many you got correct, but it won't tell you which ones you got wrong so it takes some thinking to see which ones they think are wrong or right. http://www.funbrain.com/brain/MathBrain/Games/Game.html?GameName=BumbleNumbers1&Brain=math&Grade=2&Language=en_us&GameNumber=1&Color=66CCFF&HardCoded=false&ReturnTo=kidscenter
This is an interactive game for third/fourth graders to see how well they are in math. This game contains a bee, wind, flowers, and another bug. The flowers have math problems and you need the bee to click the wind then the a solution to the problem appears and the student needs to drop it on the flower that contains the problem. The students have to do it in a timely manner before the other bug takes the other number from the bee. http://www.ixl.com/math/grade-3/skip-counting-puzzles
This is an educational supplement for students to learn about the sequencing of numbers. They ask questions and the students have to answer. It also gives them awards if they do well and they can learn how to do other math problems as well. I think that when I am a teacher I will definitely give this website out for an educational supplement to help the students practice more math on their own. http://www.meadowscenter.org/vgc/materials/3-5_tutor_guide.asp
The University of Texas Austin College Education has a good tutoring system for third to fifth graders. It provides lessons for supplemental readings for students with difficulty for reading. They mention on the main page how this is not suppose to be primary instruction, and that this should just be effective classroom reading instruction. I think this is a great tool for students who struggle in reading. You have to download the reading material to learn to tutor the students. http://www.learning.com/ahamath/
This website helps students k-5 to improve their math skills. It is aligned with state and common core standards. This could be an educational supplement as well as teacher use. It has been used as both. I think I would effectively use this in my classroom to help explore math problems and give the students instruction of what they need to do. This website looks like a great tool for any teacher and student trying to get more involved and improve their math skills. http://www.internet4classrooms.com/skills_3rd_science.htm
This website is for the students to have supplemental education in their science section. It contains life, earth, and physical science. For instance, for life science it has students go to different tools on the website to learn about the plants and their functioning's. It has many different tools for the student to learn about the subject in their life science class. They also have practice tests that the students can practice to see how well they have obtained the information. This specific page is for third grade but they also have all other grades. http://www.greatschools.org/students/academic-skills/200-third-grade-writing.gs
This website is a good one for me to use in teaching my students about writing. This is an effective tool for teachers to know what their students would learn about writing and how to write. I think this is a good source for the teacher to refer to and have the right set examples to give the students. This website is for third grade writing. http://www.teachervision.fen.com/skill-builder/reading-comprehension/48779.html?detoured=1
Teacher vision is an awesome website to find way to come up with lesson plans that will get the students to comprehend and get the lesson well. The specific page I picked was sequencing. It tell the teacher what it is, why it's important, how you can use it, and etc. I think this is a good page for a teacher to look back on and use to teach their students. This specific page is for third grade students. http://www.3rdgradespellingwords.com/
3rd grade spelling words help the students to practice how to spell and keep doing spelling tests to help learn the words. To constantly write them out then to do quizzes. I think this is a good supplemental education program because it is hard for a teacher to help them with their spelling, it is something that each student learns differently and how fast they learn it. Students that have more problems with learning how to spell should definitely take advantage of this free website program. http://www.coolmath4kids.com/
This website Cool Math for Kids is an awesome website for supplemental education for math. On this website there are many different options the students can pick to help them learn their math. It is an easy way to learn if the student is having difficulty in class. This website does look fun and you don't realize you are actually learning. This would make the kids have fun learning.
